Quad Cities Fireworks 2020

As we all know COVID-19 has changed our lives. From Easter to Independence Day, holidays look different in 2020. Our favorite fireworks show Red, White, and Boom, a classic Quad Cities collaboration isn’t happening this year. We are happy to report, however, that you can take your kids to Quad Cities fireworks in 2020 if you feel comfortable doing so.

The city of Davenport has stepped in to produce its own fireworks display, giving Quad Citians something to look forward to this year. The riverfront fireworks display on Friday, July 3, 2020, the “Star-Spangled Extravaganza”, kicks off at 9:30 p.m.quad cities fireworks 2020

Fireworks are a hallmark of the 4th of July. While some fireworks shows are canceled or postponed this year, there are still fireworks happening in the Quad Cities 2020. Keep in mind that not everything in the world is canceled and there is still lots of summer fun to be had in the Quad Cities!

Another Quad Cities fireworks show that is still happening in 2020 is the Clinton 4th of July Festival.  On their Facebook page they included these details:

“The Clinton 4th of July Festival board is first concerned with the well-being of the public and our community. This year the July 4th Festival will consist of:

  • Wiffleball 8:00 AM
  • Volleyball at 9:00 AM
  • Bags tournaments 10:30 AM
  • Random Tanner and the Firesquad at 7:00 p.m.
  • Fireworks display will follow shortly after dusk. We ask that you use caution and practice social distancing at all parts of the event.”

Every family feels differently about what is safe right now, so use your best judgment and make sure to follow city and state guidelines while you’re out and about.

It’s also a good idea to check web sites/social media for the locations you’ll be visiting since statuses and policies are constantly changing.

While you’re planning summer fun, whether at the river watching the fireworks or a family barbeque in your backyard, it’s still important to keep these safety tips for social distancing in mind!covid 19 safety quad cities
